Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rashid has said Prime Minister Imran Khan will lay the foundation stone of Gwadar Railway Station during his next visit to the port city.
Talking to media persons at the Quetta Railway Station on Wednesday, the minister said that with the help of Chinese investment, Gwadar would become the eighth divisional headquarter of Pakistan Railways.
“Balochistan government has allocated land for Gwadar Railway Station, but we have asked the chief minister to allocate another 280 acers of land in the port city,” he said, adding that in view of Gwadar’s international importance, the ministry wanted to build a huge railway station.
