QUETTA: Provincial Minister for Education Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal has said that the present government has opened one thousand new schools while as many as 750 would be established during the ongoing fiscal year.

He expressed these views while addressing to a seminar of private schools held here at Quetta Boy Scouts Hall. He said that nobody could prove that an elected representative or anyone else has turned a single school into private use. He said that the academic year has begun in the cold regions of Balochistan and books have also been distributed. He said that no inefficiency would be tolerated in the distribution of books in the schools. He was of the view that the incumbent government has brought revolutionary changes in the field of education, adding that these steps would soon yield revolutionary results in the field of education.

He said that they have rendered invaluable services for the stability of the democracy and supremacy of the parliament, adding that education is the basic right of each individual and they are busy in provision of this basic right to the masses. He said that the schools which were running short of facilities would be equipped with facilities on war-footings. He said that educated people were required to the society to face the challenges that society is facing by now. He said that if they could not bring reforms in the field of education and other sectors, they would not be entitled for asking votes from the masses, adding that they were fulfilling their duties honestly and no such teachers would be tolerated would be not fulfill their duties honestly. He also appealed to the owners of the private schools not to increase the fees as it would over burden the poor parents and would multiply their problems. He said that recruitments were made through National Testing Service (NTS) in government schools and revolutionary steps were taken for the eradication of the cheating culture from the society. He said that now the hardworking candidates are only securing flying marks and achieving success in the examinations. He said that setting things right was not possible all of a sudden in the society; it rather required time.
