QUETTA: The meeting of Dean Faculties of University of Balochistan took place here on Monday chaired by vice Chancellor of the varsity Dr. Javed Iqbal.

Dean faculties, senior teachers, Registrar Muhammad Tariq Jogezai and others participated in the meeting.

Educational activities of the new academic session, inclusion of semester system in the different departments, procedure of the admissions, inclusion of new departments, insurance of 75% attendance, research activities and other relevant issues came under discussion during the session.

Speaking to the participants, VC Dr. Javed Iqbal said that the educational activities of the new academic year have begun and all the activities of entire year have been shaped keeping in view the new admissions and future projects. He said that the research activities of the varsity would be materialized, stressing on the Deans to make use of their capabilities to the maximum to improve the educational standards and performance of their departments.

He said that the reports of positive and healthy interaction between teachers and students, details of the educational activities and the monthly reports of the students attendance should be communicated to him every month.

He said that UoB had achieved important milestones in educational, research and development fields, adding that the courses were completed within the academic year and cheating free exams were successfully held.

He further said that record completion of the research activities of the scholars were seen during the previous academic year, adding that sub-campuses of the University of Balochistan are established in different parts of the Balochistan to promote educational activities. He said that in the first phase courses matching the market requirements would be introduced in sub campuses in the first phase at Kharan, Pishin and Mastung sub-campuses. He said that this aims at providing chances of higher education to the students of remote areas at their door step.
