In a move to appease simmering debate on media regarding NAB’s plea bargain in corruption scandals, National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Balochistan has filed an application in court to remove Mushtaq Raisani’s bargain plea.
Raisani’s plea bargain application was approved by National Accountability Bureau (NAB)’s Executive Board chaired by Chairman NAB Qamar Zaman Chauhdery last December and approved in January.
NAB filed the application as Irfan Naeem Mangi appointed as new DG NAB Balochistan.
“The Executive Body of NAB chaired by Chairman NAB has decided to withdraw plea bargain application,” NAB Spokesman said.
“NAB Balochistan has filed a new plea to remove Raisani’s plea bargain application in the court.” The spokesman added.
Mushtaq Raisani former provincial secretary finance was arrested by NAB last year after more than 70 million including foreign currency that was recovered from his residence. Following his arrest, NAB booked more people including Ex-Advisor to CM on finance Mir Khalid Langove and contractor Sohail Majeed.
