QUETTA: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Balochistan, has widened its investigations in a land purchasing scandal while deciding to interrogate a former deputy commissioner of Quetta, Dawood Khilji, and other suspects.
A Tehsildar, a Qanoongo and a Patwari who were arrested earlier in the case have agreed to become approvers, sources said on Saturday, adding that NAB had decided to investigate the former deputy commissioner after being told by the arrested employees that he was the main beneficiary in the land purchasing scandal.
NAB officials said that Dawood Khilji had filed an application in the Sindh High Court (SHC) seeking bail before arrest. The SHC granted him protective bail before arrest till Monday, while directing Mr Khilji to appear before the Balochistan High Court for its approval.
