QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri has said that the monster of fear has been rooted out in Balochistan by the dint of security forces’ sacrifices and the cooperation of the masses and law and order has improved in entire Balochistan following the recent military operations.
Chief Minister was expressing his views to the newly elected members of Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) here on Tuesday. He said that the protection of the life and property of the masses is the top priority of the government, adding that the ideal of an educated Balochistan is the utmost resolve the government.
Chief Minister termed the arrival of journalists in Balochistan from all over the country and holding of elections of BDM a confidence in the improved law and order of Balochistan, adding that this was indeed a positive move that gave an instance to the journalists to scrutise the ground realities in Balochistan which would help dilute negative impression and propaganda.
He further said that there is not any doubt that the law and order situation was not so good in Balochista some time ago and there prevailed an atmosphere of fear, sectarian and religious terrorism, extremism and target killing of innocent people in the name of so called fight for independence. He said that when his party assumed charge, they decided not to sit like silent spectator and act against the odd challenges, adding that by the grace of Allah, he and his team clinched success in turning the tables round in the favour of province.
Chief Minister also stressed upon the members of media to play their role for the improvement of law and order in Balochistan and highlight the stability, peace and order in the province along with playing their role for its improvement.
CM said that the information act was in force in the province and it would be further strengthened in the province.
Meanwhile Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri has said that Balochistan is turning into an emerging economy following the improvement in law and order and also owing to the large natural resources.
He was talking to the President of Soneri Bank and Chairman Pakistan Banking Council Muhammad Aftab Manzoor here on Tuesday. They exchanged views on the development of banking sector in Balochistan.
CM Balochistan said that China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has further added to the importance of Balochistan and these all factors are becoming basis for the promotion of economic, financial, trade and investment activities. He said that the financial institutions can take a positive benefit out of these circumstances.
President Soneri Bank, speaking on the occasion, said that his bank would soon open branches in Khuzdar and Gwadar.
