Balochistan is the most beautiful province, enriched with natural resources, having significant geostrategic disposition and pinnacle for all the rulers who have ruled this land. Since the birth of Pakistan Balochistan was in faltering and fumbling situation till the last decade. With the passage of time, Government and institutions got to know the root causes of conflict in Balochistan. Gradually the Government started to resolve the issues of Balochistan. The current Provincial Government has the acme of the skill to harmonize the people of Balochistan.
Command Southern Command is one of the high ranked officials aligned with the Government for the betterment of Balochistan. From the past few years, there is an operation going around in the whole country named as Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad. This sole operation is not conducted by the Pakistan Army but local Law Enforcement Agencies (LEA) are also involved in it. On the other side, the Government has started the project named Aghaz-e-Haqooq-e-Balochistan. The package is multifaceted and multidimensional. The project is focused towards providing opportunities and access to higher education to underprivileged candidates of Balochistan. Moreover, the package provides job opportunities and a specific grant has been granted to the Baloch people who surrendered themselves.
Balochistan is going through a transitional phase whereas LEAs are curbing terrorism and the current Provincial Government is providing them facilities which they were deprived of for a very long time. However, the Provincial Government is not the only body making efforts for Balochistan but the Federal is also taking breathtaking steps for the province.
One of the spectacular projects named as the Kachhi Canal project in Dera Bugti was recently being inaugurated by the Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahid Khaqan Abbasi. Moreover, Prime Minister announced a ten-year equalization package for the development of all areas of Balochistan, with an aim to bring them at par with the rest of the country in terms of provision of basic utilities and facilities. Deputy Mayor Muhammad Younus Lehri further elaborated that Sariab Road, Sabzal Road, Joint Road, Gwalmandi Chowk, Eastern Bypass, GPO Chowk, the bridge would be extended under this mega package in order to give a good outlook of Quetta.
Apart from these developments, as said earlier that Balochistan is in a transitional phase, it needs more vibrant efforts than before. Hence, Pakistan Army took another initiative called ‘Khush Hal Balochistan’. Yesterday ‘Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited Headquarters Southern Command, Quetta in connection with the execution of (KHB) initiative. Chief Minister Sana Ullah Zehri and COAS were briefed about the ongoing socio-politico-economic situation of Balochistan.
Moreover, the future plans for the betterment of Balochistan and their course of actions were also being briefed to COAS. As the plan is being mainly dealt by Pakistan Army hence the full-fledged details will be public in few days after input from staff. COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa gave the green signal for this initiative. Furthermore, Chief Minister appraised the security apparatus and their efforts in Balochistan. Regarding this initiative, Chief Minister was radiant as the best security eventually improves the socio-economic developments in the country. He envisaged that this initiative will also be successful like operation Rad-ul-Fassad.
