QUETTA: The Governor of Balochistan, Muhammad Khan Achakzai has said that as responsible and sensitive, the lawyers’ community has the vital role in guiding the people about constitution and law, provision of cheap and speedy justice and keeping the situation peaceful.
Speaking at a conference on the issues and problems of lawyers’ community held under Balochistan Bar Council here on Tuesday, he said that it was the responsibility of the lawyers’ community that they should guide the people of the country in every sector to spend their lives as a peaceful and law abiding citizen.
The Advocate General of Balochistan, Amanullah Kanrani and leaders of lawyer’s representative bodies, and a large number of the lawyer were also present in the conference.
Governor Achakzai said that it was also responsibility of the lawyers to pay their due role in providing justice to the people at their doorstep.
He said that the government has established subordinate courts and benches of high court across the province and now the provision of justice was available to the people in the far-flung areas of Balochistan. “Bar and bench should play their role in the provision of speedy justice to the people of the province,” Governor Achakzai said.
Governor asked the lawyers and their bodies to give him their problems in written so he could talk to the Federal Government to resolve these issues. He announced Rs. 2.5 million grants for the lawyers’ too.
