QUETTA: Justice Abdul Majeed of Accountability Court Quetta-I has ordered the arrest of nominated accused in the Finance and Local Government mega corruption scandal by March 6, on Monday.
According to the details, the court has ordered the arrest of Secretary Local Government Hafiz Abdul Basit and Faisal Jamal including Noorullah, said to the be front man of Finance Adviser.
During the appearing, former secretary Fiance, Mushtaq Raisani, contractor Suhail Majeed and former Finance Adviser Balochistan Mir Khalid Langov’s advocate Barrister Amir Lehri and the NAB authorities appeared before the court.
When court questioned about the absence of Mir Khalid Langov, his medical certificate was presented before the court, saying he couldn’t attend the court on medical grounds.
However, the court ordered the jail authorities to send ambulance and bring Mir Khalid Langov. When he was brought in the premises of court, his counsel said that he cannot climb the stairs on which court ordered the reader to go and get the copy of reference signature from him in the ambulance.
Court also asked about the absence of the nominated accused former secretary local government Hafiz Abdul Basit, Faisal Jamal and Noorullah. The court was told that the concerned District Police Officers (DPOs) have not only sent warrants but have also been conducting raids on which court ordered the arrest and presenting of accused by 6thMarch and court was adjourned until then.
