TURBAT: Vice Chancellor University of Turbat Dr Abdul Razzaq Sabir has said UoT is the first and nearest institution for higher learning located on CPEC western route and its graduates as future assets are enough capable to play an active role in the economic and developmental activities related to CPEC.
TURBAT: Vice Chancellor University of Turbat Dr Abdul Razzaq Sabir has said UoT is the first and nearest institution for higher learning located on CPEC western route and its graduates as future assets are enough capable to play an active role in the economic and developmental activities related to CPEC.
He was speaking in a seminar on CPEC and its Socioeconomic Implications for Balochistan, held in University of Turbat.
Key note speaker renowned economist Dr Syed Manzoor Ahmed Baloch Assistant Professor in LUAWMS spoke matters related to CPEC and its socioeconomic implications for Balochistan, unemployment, poverty and literacy rate in Balochistan, new dynamics of regional and global political economy, establishing economic processing zones in different parts of Balochistan and the importance of public private sector partnership for socioeconomic development in Balochistan.
VC said his students were working on different research projects on CPEC and its socioeconomic impacts on people living around CPEC rout in Balochistan.
“We are committed to increase linkage with national and foreign universities through exchange program for the capacity building of faculty members and students” VC said, adding that number of MoUs were signed between Chinese and other universities to serve the purpose. Other speakers also shared their views in seminar.
The seminar was attended by faculty members and students in large number.
