QUETTA: Commander Southern Command General Amir Riaz has said that calligraphy is at its peak in the world currently and calligraphers are performing their best in Pakistan and specifically in Balochistan.
He expressed these views while addressing to an inaugural session of a calligraphy exhibition at Sardar Bahadur Khan (SBK) University here on Wednesday. He said that it was encouraging to see that apart from the works of established calligraphers, the works of students were also presented in this exhibition which would cultivate interest in them for the art, adding that the one who is like by Allah the Almighty, is gifted with the ornament of knowledge.
He said that he feels pride in those who have written the verses of Holy Quran in calligraphy. He said that calligraphy is the best way of expression, adding that Allah the almighty bestows the knowledge to those whom he likes. He said that the May God protect everyone from the enemies of Islam and humanity and should reward them victory over the enemies
