QUETTA: Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan seized large quantities of drugs and bullets in different crackdowns, on Tuesday.
According to the details, FC arrested two smugglers during an operation in Killa Abdullah and recovered 16 kg hashesh from their custody while during yet another operation 1100 kg opium and 12000 rounds of SMG were recovered from Saindak area.
Meanwhile Custom authorities seized huge quantities of smuggled goods at the checkpoints in Quetta and Nushki districts, on Tuesday.
According to the details, acting on a tip-off the custom authorities intercepted vehicles at Yaro check-post and recovered huge quantities of foreign goods that included foreign tyres, cloths, mobile phones, electronics items, spare parts of the vehicles and three non custom paid vehicles.
In yet another such operation, custom authorities also seized 30 thousand liters of fuel smuggled from Iran, and a non-custom pain vehicle. The seized items were worth two crore and 6 lakh rupees, said the collector custom Dr. Saeed Jadoon while talking to media, adding that check post have been established at international and inter provincial junctions to stop smuggling of goods in the country. He said that custom authorities would provide best facilities to the ones who involve in trade through legal means.
