The security of the nation depends upon the armed forces of the state. Focused armed forces are a more lethal and vital for state survival. Pakistan is one of the blessed countries which has strong military might. The additional thing adding to the excellence of Pakistan’s forces is their work on counter-insurgency. Balochistan has most often been part of the news because of the insurgency in the province. In 2018 the situation in Balochistan has become favorable in every regard. Credit goes to the Provincial Government and Law Enforcement Agencies especially Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan. Major activities have been conducted by the FC and many terrorists got apprehended.
On 9th February a large number of weapons and ammunition were recovered during intelligence-based operations in Balochistan. According to a statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) that Frontier Corps Balochistan conducted the operations in Dera Bugti, Kohlu and Dera Murad Jamali. The recovered items include submachine guns, light machine guns, mortar rounds, grenades, detonators, explosives and communication equipment, the statement read. The forces have disenchanted terrorism bids, nabbed suspects and recovered ammunitions in similar operations in the province earlier. Moreover, in January 2018, 16 suspects were arrested during intelligence-based operations in Sambaza, Sibi and Hazar Ganji areas of Balochistan.
Overall FC Balochistan imprisoned 20 terror suspects during multiple intelligence-based operations conducted in Balochistan. The intelligence-based operations conducted in Dera Murad Jamali, Pashtoon Abad, Sangan, and Shahreg areas that resulted in the recovery of weapons and ammunition including explosives, grenades, improvised explosive devices (IEDs), and communication equipment. Moreover, Security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa also carried out search an operation in a village Paashat Chelagaram, Tehsil Salarzai, Bajaur Agency and recovered a cache of weapons and ammunition hidden in a mountain cave. The recovered arms and ammunition include machine guns, a rocket launcher, sub-machine guns, pistols, anti-tank mines, hand grenades, and, IEDs.
Furthermore, Balochistan Chief Minister Abdul Quddus Bizenjo said that law and order situation has improved in Balochistan including Quetta. He expressed his views while addressing at police line station in Quetta, Home Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti and Balochistan Police Inspector General (IG) Moazzam Jah Ansari were also present there. The Chief Minister said that Pakistan and the people of Balochistan are prepared to deal with terrorism. The ingenious enemies take advantage of our religious and social weaknesses to conspire for the sake of their respective goals. He said that the government will foil all such conspiracies with the help of the people. He further added that our motivation is high and the enemies will not succeed. The Chief Minister also said that the sacrifices given by Balochistan Police officers in the fight against terrorism will be remembered forever.
The Chief Minister said that the law and order situation will improve if the Balochistan Police will be given modern training and equipment. He said that although the Balochistan Government has limited resources, it will still meet the needs of the police department. The Chief Minister of Balochistan has announced Rs.5 million in revolving fund upgradation of police BHU to a 30-bed hospital, 200 motorcycles for Eagle Scout, computer and science labs for male and female sections, six permanent vacancies for training instructors for Police Grammar School, construction and renovation of police station buildings and 28 development projects for officers of police department. He added that implementation on all these measures will be ensured soon. He said that the police officers will be provided special bulletproof vehicles to carry out their duties. Chief Minister Balochistan has also heard the problems of police officers, as well as a large number of police officers, submitted their applications to Balochistan Chief Minister. He also assured that all possible measures would be taken to resolve the problems faced by police officers. The state institutions are working hand in hand to make Balochistan more peaceful and prosperous.
