The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) is reported to have stated that Pakistan and Afghanistan authorities will be holding a flag meeting at the Chaman border crossing soon. This has come after the 12 hours of Afghanistan forces trading fire with Pakistani forces across the border which left at least nine people martyred and 42 others, including four Frontier Corps (FC) soldiers, injured. According to security sources; Afghanistan forces, though had opened an unprovoked fire, soon drew back when they were retaliated by Pakistani forces. Spokesperson, Nafees Zakaria, said that the border between the two countries is clearly demarcated and Pakistani teams were conducting the census drive in their own area, which is the country’s sovereign right.
