QUETTA: The law enforcing agencies (LEAs) foiled a bid of terrorism in the provincial capital on Sunday by defusing a 3 kg bomb planted bucket at Arbab Karam Khan Road.
According to the details, police rushed to a deserted check-point at Arbab Karam Road after getting information about a suspicious bucket lying in the boundary of check-point.
Police and Frontier Corps (FC) rushed to the site and cordoned off the area. The Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) was called and a remote controlled device, weighing 3 kg, was defused successfully.
Police registered a case against unknown miscreants.
Meanwhile, IG Quetta Police announced a reward of five thousand for the BDS personnel for defusing the bomb including an appreciation certificate.
