Government is making all out efforts for promotion of agriculture sector and enhance productivity in the province.
A senior official of Agriculture department Balochistan Mohammad Hashim told our correspondent Aftab Sherazi that about 7.5 billion rupees have been allocated for uplift of agriculture sector in the budget of current fiscal year.
He said that fifty seven thousand acre of barren lands would be irrigated from Kachhi Canal under a special project in collaboration with the federal government.
The official said agriculture farms in public sector are being made functional in eighteen districts of the province. He said that the project would be completed at a cost of about 290 million rupees.
Moreover, an agriculture training centre would be established in Quetta at a cost of 5 million rupees.
