Drug Court on Thursday issued non-bailable warrants of five pharmaceutical companies, medicine agencies and medical stores in the spurious medicine case.

The hearing of the spurious and sub-standard medicine case was heard here on Thursday by Drug Court chaired by its chairman Abdul Majeed Nasar along with members Gul Alam Khan and Arsalan Khan.

As many as five owners of different medicines firms failed to appeared before court whose non-bailable warrants were issued by the court. Moreover, the bill of indictment was also imposed on two medical store owners.

The cases from Health Department were pursued by Syed Ejaz uddin Agha. The officials of pharmaceutical company Medi Makers Private Limited Hyderabad Shakoor, its managing director, Muhammad Ali Sheikh its Production director and Mansab Qureshi, Quality Control In-charge did not appear before the court issued their non-bailable arrest warrants and also directed the authorities concerned to issue dispatch letter for the cancellation of their company license to Islamabad Drug Regulatory Authority again.

In the hearing of Zeeenat Medicine Agency Case nominated accused Syed Ahsan Ullah did not appear before the court on which it issued non-bailable arrest warrants of the accused. Similarly, the owners of Imran Medical Store Ali Imran and Muhammad Munir also failed to appear before court whose arrests warrants were also issued. In the hearing of Bilial Medical Store, and Asif Medical Store Bill of indictment was imposed on the accused Nor Khan and Muhammad Asif.
