QUETTA: Balochistan Home Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti has said that people of the province are sick of bloodshed and lawlessness and want peace to provide better future to their children.
He was speaking at a ceremony held at the headquarters of the Sibbi Scouts to distribute clothes among 100 former militants of the Baloch Liberation Army.
He said Brahamdagh Bugti and Hairbiar Marri would not succeed in their conspiracy to dismember Pakistan.
He said the children of Brahamdagh Bugti were getting education in foreign countries but he was playing with the future of people in Balochistan.
The minister said that major issues of Balochistan had been resolved as a result of the wise strategy of the army, the Frontier Corps and intelligence agencies.
“Baloch people are patriotic in line with their national culture and rich traditions which motivate them to render sacrifices for Pakistan,” he said.
He urged those people who had laid down their arms to play a role in development of Pakistan and utilise their potential for bright future of their children.
“Gun is not a solution to any problem,” the minister said and added that the surrendering militants would be provided employment and education and health facilities.
He said peace and stability was necessary for the development of Balochistan.
The minister said Pakistan was an independent country and every citizen of this country had equal rights.
