We warmly welcome the government school teachers from 24 districts of Balochistan to the capital city Quetta for VOB’s Safar-e-Mualim 3.


The opening session of VOB’s Safar-e-Mualim 3 themed “The Teaching Environment in Balochistan — Challenges and the Way Forward” was led by Additional Director Education Schools Dr Muhammad Saleem Zurkoon, Director Research BTTN Dr Siraj Bashir and Lecturer Tameer e Nau Model College Janan Langove followed by a Q&A session with the government school teachers from 24 districts of Balochistan.

A training session for the teachers was conducted by Psychologist Dr Yasir Afaq to address the “Emotional Needs of Students in Building their Self-Esteem & Mitigating Biases in Teaching” on the first day of VOB’s Safar-e-Mualim 3.



A session on “The Information Domain in Balochistan — Effects on the Education System & Solutions” was led by Information Secretary Hamza Shafqaat, Additional Secretary (Staff) to CS Major (R) Aurangzeb Badini, & Senior Journalist and Editor Quetta Voice Syed Ali Shah, followed by a Q&A session for the government school teachers from 24 districts of Balochistan as a part of VOB’s Safar-e-Mualim 3.





Another training session on “Holistic, Personal & Occupational Wellbeing of Teachers & Students” was led by Psychologist Dr Yasir Afaq followed by a detailed Q&A session as a part of VOB’s Safar-e-Mualim 3.

The teachers from government schools of Balochistan visited Weplex Cinema Quetta to watch the newly released movie “Zarrar”, followed by a dinner at Musketeers Restaurant as recreational activities of VOB’s Safar-e-Mualim 3.

On day 3, discussing the “Facts, Perception and Reality” of Balochistan, MPA Zahoor Buledi and Educationist Rahima Jalal highlighted the educational approaches and challenges of the education system of the province, and the role of teachers, followed by a detailed Q&A session.

The government school teachers from Balochistan visited the National Incubation Center Quetta & were briefed by Executive Dir Nisar Ahmed on how to teach the students to become successful entrepreneurs, as a part of VOB’s Safar-e-Mualim 3.

The government school teachers from Balochistan visited the historical Miri Fort built in 1883, followed by a memorable dinner at the Quetta Food Club as a part of the recreational activities of VOB’s Safar-e-Mualim 3.

On day 4, the delegation of government school teachers visited the Balochistan Assembly & interacted with Deputy Speaker Sardar Babar Khan Musakhail & Secretary Tahir Shah Kakar over educational policies as a part of VOB’s Safar-e-Mualim 3.



Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo interacted with & awarded special laptops to the government school teachers as a part of VOB’s Safar-e-Mualim 3, followed by a Q&A session with the Minister of Education Naseebullah Marri.

On day 5, the delegation of government school teachers from Balochistan visited the famous landmark Quaid-e-Azam Residency & Zero Point in Ziarat to pay homage to the Founder of the Nation and relish the historical significance of the city.

The journey of Safar-e-Mualim 3 came to an end with a certificate & books distribution ceremony for the teachers as a farewell gift from VOB to enliven the teaching-learning process & as a tribute to the torchbearers of knowledge.

We are grateful to our alumni Mehnaz Shafqat Khosa for coming all the way from Sohbatpur to share her experience as the first cohort of VOB’s Safar-e-Mualim & the productive measures she was able to take in her teaching career as a result.
