At a ceremony held in the honor of Quaid-e-Azam’s birthday, Dur Khan (Munshi), Haior (Shojaz) and eleven other members of the militant agency BRA surrendered to Brigadier Amjad Ali Sethi of the Frontier Corps in front of a large number of tribal elders.
They publically renounced all armed activities against the state and have pledged to work for the betterment of the country and their people. These former members of BRA were involved in multiple attacks on security forces and gas pipelines. In a statement, the commanders said, “We were misguided in the name of the so-called independence struggle and freedom of Balochistan.” They also said, “We are no more part of any armed struggle.”
