There has always been a question mark on education system in Balochistan. Literacy rate is very low and there appears no serious effort to increase it. According to Provincial Education Commission, there are just 12,500 primary, secondary and high schools in a province that encompasses over 22,000 human settlements.
It is painful to point out that the Government of Balochistan takes credit for ‘addressing’ the problem, which it has not. So it is my humble request to the Government not to make any excuse in providing better educational facilities to the children of this mineral-rich province. We hope that Government of Balochistan will spare no effort to provide quality education to each and every child of the province.
