ANJERA (Central Balochistan): Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Zehri, had publicly pledged to rehabilitate fully and honourably all the militants who lay down their weapons and join the mainstream of the Pakistani society.
Addressing a big public meeting at Anjera, Headquarters of the Zehri Tribe, on the occasion of death anniversary of his son and other relatives who laid down their lives in a bomb attack during the 2013 election campaign, he said that his Government is determined to restore peace in all parts of Balochistan.
He criticized those elements trying to undermine the security and integrity of Pakistan while sitting in Europe and said that they are doing it at the behest of India and they are agents of Indian, its RAW and the ruling Hindu elite.
He strongly resented the charge from the militant dubbing him as an agent; Nawab Zehri said he was no agent of the Punjabis considering the Punjabis as his brethren and equal citizens of this country. On the contrary, they are paid agents of India and serving the Indian interests by destabilizing Balochistan through their terrorist activities.
He again offered the olive branch to the militants asking them to lay down their weapons and join the efforts for economic development of the country and its people. He said that the terrorists are on the run and there is no chance that they would return to the scene again in near future.
The Chief Minister said that law and order had been restored in all parts of Balochistan and there is no chance to return to 2013 situation when they planted bombs and killed innocent people, including his son and other relatives.
He questioned the means of livelihood the militants and their leaders have in Europe. Being modest farmer and growers some cash crops, they cannot sustain a luxurious life in Europe, mainly London and other costly cities of Western Europe. They are being financed by India as agents, Nawab Zehri charged
Without naming the Balochistan National Party (BNP), he said the party won only two seats in the last elections and it could not be the representative of Balochistan and its people, he said. The same party is holding public meeting and using propaganda against the CPEC and trying to undermine its projects, Nawab Zehri said.
On the contrary, the Chief Minister said that the coalition partners and the JUI-F got the mandate of the people to rule the Province for a constitutional tenure. The BNP had no mandate, he added.
He disclosed that he received threats from the militants not to participate in the last elections. He was told that if the Chief of Jhalawan tribes refrain from participating in the elections, others will also join them boycotting the elections. Nawab Zehri said that he rejected the threat with full contempt and participated in the elections in which they carried out a bomb attack on his convoy killing and wounding many.
Besides his family, people were fed up with the law and order situation in this part of Balochistan as the terrorists attacked the people at will and killed them. Now the situationĀ has radically changed and the terrorists are on the run and peace had been restored completely on which the people had full faith and confidence in the Government and law enforcing agencies, the Chief Minister told the responsive crowd gather to condole the death of martyrs who laid down their lives in a terrorist attacks.
It was a huge condolence meeting in which people from major parts of Balochistan and adjoining areas of Sindh cam in large number to pay tributes to the martyrs. Almost the elite of Balochistan had attended the ceremony.
It may be mentioned here that Nawab Zehri son Nawabzada Sikandar, Mir Mehrullah Jan Zehri and Nawabzada Mir Zaib were martyred in a bomb attack during the 2013 election campaign.
The condolence meeting was widely attended by tribal Sardars, elders, Ministers, MPAs, officials, including the IGFC, in the condolence meeting. A large number of people spoke on the occasion paying tributes to the martyrs.
