QUETTA: Governor Balochistan Muhammad Khan Achakzai has said that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) can become a project of great economic activity not only for Pakistan but for the entire world.
He expressed these views while addressing to a seminar held under the aegis of Pakistan Marine Academy on Wednesday. He said that it was impossible without peace to achieve development, adding that the students and the teachers would have to play a role for the betterment of the society.
He further said that the China was also in the need of development of CPEC because they were experiencing a downfall in their development. He said that in this time of adversity Pakistan stood to the occasion and delivered on the unparalled Pak-China friendship. He said that CPEC would, hence be completed in 15 years’ time passing through different phases. He said that CPEC would also yield enormous opportunities of development for the educated people along with triggering economic activities in the country. He was of the view that to avail these opportunities competition and hard struggle was needed.
He said that there were many economic speculations about this project but the most important thing in these is that this project would yield positive results. He said that Silk Rout would be connected with other countries of the world after the completion of CPEC, adding htat which include the states of Britain, Russia, Central Asia. He said that if America can forego the past bitterness with China, she can also be a part of the project. He said that access to information is all the more quick in the era of technology, adding that now is the time to forget about the past bitterness and usher a new era. He said that China has already proved this by acting upon non-violence and stability policy.
