KARACHI: The Chief Minister, Nawab Sanaullah Zehri, had whole heartedly welcomed the use of Western Route for the first Transit Trade Convoy of the CPEC from Xingjian Province to Gwadar for exporting Chinese goods and products to Middle East and African countries.

Talking to the Chinese Counsel General for Sindh and Balochistan, Mr. Whang Yu, in Karachi during a meeting, the Chief Minister said that it is the beginning of the trade activities and termed it a milestone in our history.
He hoped that Gwadar would soon become a major transit port boosting economic and trade activities among the countries of the region. The people of Balochistan view this development in a friendly manner further cementing trade and economic ties with the regional countries.
The Chief Minister said that by making the deepwater port of Gwadar functional is itself is good omen for the beginning of the CPEC project which is also a great success in terms of boosting economic activities.
Nawab Sanaullah Zehri said that Balochistan is fully prepared to play its destine role in implementing the CPEC Project and that is why the people of Balochistan had warmly welcomed the first trade convoy when it passes different areas of Balochistan on its way to Gwadar.
The real base of CPEC is Gwadar, the Balochistan CM told the senior Chinese diplomat during the meeting. He expressed the hope that all the development projects pertaining to Gwadar city and its surroundings would be completed in time making Gwadar a mega port city in this region.
Nawab Zehri said that his Government would make efforts to provide, jobs, education, health and other services to the residents of Gwadar besides providing them business opportunities. “The residents of Gwadar are ready for any form of partnership for development.
The Chinese diplomat, on his part, said that Gwadar is a suitable place for making significant investment. Its location is ideal and strategic, Mr. Yu told his guest. He hoped that besides China, other countries of the world would also come to Gwadar and make investment in near future.
He said that the Chinese Government is keenly interested in early completion of all the CPEC related projects, particularly in Gwadar and its surroundings. He said CPEC had provided a big boost to economic relations between our two countries.
