Balochistan Minister for Finance Mir Muhammad Arif Muhammad Hassani here on Thursday said peace is essential for development of the country. He said provincial government was taking practical steps to maintain peace across the province because peaceful environment was necessary for development of any society, a press release said. He said it is my responsible to maintain peace in Chaghi district for betterment of the people, saying that administration should take indiscriminate action against anti-social elements and criminals in Chaghi district so that the people and traders could run their businesses in a peaceful environment.
Meanwhile, the minister presided over a meeting at the Finance Department to review different sectors. Secretary Finance, Qamar Masood, Additional Secretary Budget Lal Jan Jaffar, Additional Secretary Resources, Rashid Razaq, Additional Secretary Development Nadeem Akhtar Sumalani, Additional Secretary Monitoring Ghulam Mustafa and Director General Treasury Saeed Umrani attended the meeting.
The Minister said serious measures would be taken to end corruption from all departments of the province in order to ensure advancements of these institutions. He said finance departments would issue funds to departments regarding their performance for the betterment of institutions.
