With the situation in Indian Held Kashmir becoming more explosive, India is becoming more desperate to use the Balochistan card to divert International attention away from its own atrocities. Various machinations have been planned and are being executed. The employment of false flag operations has gained a sudden momentum. At the beginning of the year, India launched a false flag operation at its air base at Pathankot. Earlier similar activities had been carried out at Udhampur and Gurdaspur but all fizzled out.
With the cold looded murder of young and popular Kashmiri leader Burhan Wani on July 8, the rapid escalation in the tension and massive protest rallies in retaliation, took the Indian government by surprise. The impetus that was being built up refused to die down even after the loss of 110 precious human lives and over 3,500 being injured. As the atrocities in Indian Held Kashmir (IHK) became internationalisd, the building pressure on India, forced its hand to up the ante on Balochistan. The arrest of Commander Kulbhoshan Yadav, the RAW operative from Balochistan, earlier this year, provided the world a glimpse of the Indian machinations in Balochistan.
Now India has pulled out a number of rabbits from its hat. It is propping up Brahamdagh Bugti who is denouncing his Pakistani nationality and applying for an Indian one. For the last decade, there have been reports of Indian espionage agency RAW funding and sponsoring Brahamdagh Bugti but now the cat is out of the bag and there is no doubt of Indian patronage. Brahamdagh Bugti is also being instigated to file law suits against Pakistan Army Generals for carrying out alleged atrocities against the Baloch.
On August 15, 2016, India’s Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his speech to the nation, went on a diatribe as to how the people of Balochistan, Gilgit Baltistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir are thanking him for supporting their movement to escape from the clutches of Pakistan. As the 71st Session of the United Nations General Assembly drew closer, Indian conspiracies gained impulsion. The self orchestrated attacks on Indian Army camps at Poonch and later at Uri are clear depictions of the same. Indian hawks have gone berserk in blaming Pakistan, painting pictures of doom and gloom, threatening Pakistan of dire circumstances, when India launches punitive attacks against Pakistan.
Simultaneously, RAW has gone in top gear to exploit separatist tendencies in Balochistan and Gilgit Baltistan on multiple lines to adopt covert as well as overt measures including the use of transmission and broadcast of bulletins from clandestine radios covering Gilgit, Baltistan and Balochistan. Reliable sources have informed that Mr. Ashish, Under Secretary; Indian Ministry of External Affairs contacted Mr. Satyanaryana Sastry Raghuram, First Secretary Indian High Commission at Islamabad on August 23, 2016 and informed him that Indian Ministry of External Affairs has launched a special news bulletin to pollute the minds of the local population in Gilgit, Baltistan, Baluchistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir against Pakistan. The Under Secretary directed the First Secretary to monitor the local media in the above named territories and submit a news summary to the Ministry on a daily basis.
The conversation also revealed that India plans to entangle Pakistan in human rights abuse cases in the said region to counter the allegations of violation of human rights by India in IHK. It is ironical that India itself has denied access to the United Nations Human Rights Commission (UNHRC) to IHK. UNHRC had formally sought permission to visit IHK to assess the level of violations of human rights being committed by Indian troops there. Some Baloch like Brahamdagh Bugti and some imposters pretending to be Baloch nationals are being produced on Indian media on a regular basis, where they utter statements provided by RAW, in which they allege that Pakistani troops are regularly massacring Baloch, raping their women and burying the dead in unmarked mass graves.
Interestingly, these are the very crimes Indian forces are committing in IHK and now they want to accuse Pakistan wrongly of the same. Since the mass uprising in IHK, in 1989, more than 100,000 Kashmiris have been martyred; thousands of women raped and thousands of innocent persons languish in the Indian jails. Whenever India wants to launch a false flag operation, it pulls out some of the Kashmiris suffering incarceration, kills them and presents to the world as terrorists.
Since July 8, 2016, participants in rallies protesting the brutal slaying of Burhan Wani are being sprayed with pellets, which blind the protestors. More than one hundred have been martyred while thousands are injured, some of them critically.
Indian interest in wreaking havoc in Balochistan is twofold. Firstly it wants to divert attention from its own atrocities and reign of terror in IHK, secondly the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) being constructed from the Port of Gawadar in Balochistan to the Chinese city of Kashgar is worrying India. The development of Gawadar and Chinese presence in it is a cause of concern for India as well as other detractors of China because 35 percent of the world’s oil supply passes through the maritime route adjacent to Gawadar.
They fear that if the Chinese deem fit, they can blockade the oil supply from the Gulf. The development of CPEC is likely to provide a major boost to the economy of Balochistan in particular and Pakistan in general, including Gilgit Baltistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, from where the CPEC is planned to pass through. India is not interested in the social or economic uplift of these regions. It would like to keep them underdeveloped, to use the sense of deprivation as an excuse to incite them to rebellion. Maximum Indian resources are being spent by India to sabotage the CPEC. It believes that if Balochistan is strife torn and rattled by terror attacks, the Chinese investors will be discouraged and ditch the mega project. t is imperative to expose Indian machinations in Balochistan and present the atrocities being carried out in IHK to international agencies.
