The poet of East mastered his literary works in Persian and Urdu. Through his poetry he tried to instill lasting questions and thoughts about life, soul and connection with the Creator in Muslims. Iqbal likened the youth with “Shaheen” and expects character, attitude, vision and high qualities of a falcon from the young generation that shall redeem the forfeited glory of the Muslim Ummah.
Allama Iqbal while being inspired of Nietzsche, Bergson, Goethe and Dante, under the influence of Rumi proposed a sacred journey of mysticism to regain the true Muslim identity. From his intellectual genius, he decreed the Islamic philosophy under the light of Ijtihad. Truly, Iqbal is a beacon of light for Muslims and all the light seekers. His vision of invigorating a nation that can lead the world and humanity, is truly a message of hope and truthfulness for young generation.
The doctrinal beliefs of Iqbal truly reflect a true picture of “Momin” as an exemplary person. Every bit of his work from Asrar-e-Khudi, (Secrets of the Self) to Shikwa portrays the true ideology of Islam. It is time to have his morals in our lives as a future leader to create a better Pakistan and may we be able to put Iqbal’s toil to justice in bringing harmony, prosperity and justice to Pakistan.
